About Lansdowne Sofa Cinema
In July 2007, a group of dedicated volunteers collected under the auspices of the Lansdowne Economic Development Corporation, to establish "Lansdowne Loves Movies" - a committee dedicated to returning movie exhibition to Lansdowne. Since that time, an unprecedented number of volunteers have come out to plan and execute the project, and have named it "Lansdowne Sofa Cinema". This is because we feature comfy sofa seating in our showspace... we also have more traditional seating for those so inclined. The Lansdowne Loves Movies committee meets regularly and is always looking for volunteers to help with our continuing objectives and planning future shows.
